My name is Daniel Quitschau; I’m a 17-year-old guy from the United States. I’m in high school and plan to attend Northeastern University in 2008. In college I plan to major in Marketing. I’m a webmaster and run several websites, including this writing blog. I’ve running websites since 13 and have progressed exponentially.

I also enjoy writing; I write a variety of things, including poetry, short stories, non-fiction, and novels. At one point I did freelance writing - now I write for my own websites and fiction writing. I’ve had a few poems and short stories published in online magazines and have one a few contests.

In addition to writing and webmastering, I enjoy reading and playing bass guitar in my band.

About the Site

CreativeWritingBlog.Org was born in mid-November. I created the site because I saw a void in writing information on the internet, especially writing portrayed in blog format. The site was also created to be a link to my Writing Forum.

My goal is to provide writing resources for all kinds of writers: the creative writer, the non-fiction writer, the blogger, the freelancer and the poet. In this blog I’ll provide techniques and tips on short story and novel writing, as well as discussing blogging and freelance writing on the web. I’ll deal with poetry and it’s forms and techniques, as well as author interviews and book reviews. I also intend to have many other resources for authors in the near future, including a writing forum, writing prompts, a writing directory, and writing contests.
